Raj Kosuri

Executive Director

Raj is the Executive Director of the Green IT Council.  In addition, Raj Kosuri is the founder of EcomNets. As CTO he has authored Best Practices for Business Rules Integration in 2006. Led his company to the Deloitte Fast 50 & 500 four years in a row. Was selected as one of the Smart 100 from SmartCEO Magazine in 2009. In 2009, developed the Verdio Green PC, which won the NVTC Green Award for small business 2010. In 2011, Raj released the CliMetric Software designed to help Fortune 500 companies with carbon management and accounting. Raj founded the Green IT Council in 2010, an organization dedicated to energy efficiency, development, manufacture, supply chain distribution, and disposal of information technology hardware, software, and infrastructure. Raj received his M.S. from Columbia University.

Currently, Raj is working on the development of the Green Data Center in Danville, VA where he plans to offer cloud computing, disaster recovery and business continuity in a virtualized environment.

Terell Jones

Deputy Director Green IT Initiatives

Known as the “Green IT Guy” Terell Jones is one of the leading Green IT subject matter experts. After serving in the first Gulf War in the U.S. Navy Mr. Jones entered the IT field in 1995 in the areas of networking and managed services. In 2009 joined the Ecomnets team to develop their Green IT Practice, which includes energy efficient computing from the desktop to the data center. In 2010 he combined his knowledge of Green IT with a desire to build local economies with the creation of a state of the art Green Data Center currently under construction in Danville, VA. Currently Mr. Jones is working to promote cloud computing, disaster recovery and business continuity in a virtualized environment within the Green Data Center located in Danville. Mr. Jones is a founding member of the Green IT Council.
